Join Tualatin Riverkeepers to connect with nature and learn more about the importance of restoring streamside habitat!
Join Tualatin Riverkeepers to remove ivy and plant native plants as part of a streamside habitat restoration project along Rock Creek near Sherwood!
We will be working near the creek in the shade of a giant oak tree to prepare the area for further restoration efforts in partnership with the Tualatin River Watershed Council and Habitat Restoration NW LLC.
This work supports wildlife habitat, water quality, and soil health, and promotes biodiversity as part of an ongoing stream enhancement project where beavers have been very active. This project is sponsored in part with funding from the Riverhealth Watershed Stewardship Program by Water Environment Services.
Snacks, coffee, tools, safety gear, and instruction provided. Please expect to be walking and working on uneven surfaces on a restoration site.
The site is not accessible via public transportation. Parking is limited, and carpooling is encouraged!
