Online ordering for fall native plants starts on Sunday, August 16!

This fall, Sparrowhawk Native Plants is offering about 120 species of habitat-friendly plants, while raising money for another inspiring line-up of community partners co-hosting the October pop-up events; Tualatin Riverkeepers, Depave, Multnomah County Master Gardens, Learning Gardens Laboratory, Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association and Arbor Lodge Tree Team.

Native plants are the foundation of healthy ecosystems and fall planting offers ideal conditions for establishing native plants, providing plants with cooler temperatures and seasonal rainfall to give them a strong start for spring growth.

How it Works

1) Online ordering begins Sun, August 16, 9am

  • Be sure to browse the website in advance to build your wish list. Preordering is required and popular species often sell out quickly. Please note that there is a $30 order minimum.
  • Select from over 120 species of premium-quality native plants. These climate-resilient plants will enhance your garden, allowing it to best support pollinators and wildlife.
  • Ordering will stay open for our pop-up event until all appointment slots are taken. Appointment times often fill up fast, so don’t delay. If our event weekend fills up, there will be other pop-up locations/partners to support. The final day to order for any location is Sunday, Sept 13.

2) At online check-out, select to pick-up at one of FOUR local pop-ups. Each pop-up is hosted by a different community partner that benefits from your purchase:

  • Fri, Oct 2 - Sat, Oct 3 - SE Portland (Brentwood-Darlington Community Center, 7211 SE 62nd Ave, Portland, OR 97206) - in partnership with and benefiting Multnomah County Master Gardeners, Learning Gardens Laboratory and Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association
  • Fri, Oct 9 - Sat, Oct 10 - North Portland (Peace Lutheran Church, 2201 N Rosa Parks Way, Portland, OR 97217) - in partnership with and benefiting Arbor Lodge Tree Team
  • Fri, Oct 16 - Sat, Oct 17 - East Portland (St Matthew’s, 11100 NE Skidmore St, Portland, OR 97220) - in partnership with and benefiting Depave
  • Fri, Oct 23 - Sat, Oct 24 - SW Portland (St Luke Lutheran Church, 4595 SW California St, Portland, OR 97219) - in partnership with and benefiting Tualatin Riverkeepers

3) Plants for the Planet - Proceeds for the Community: Sink your hands in the dirt and feel good! Your new native plants will support birds, bees, and butterflies in your neighborhood, while fundraising up to $20,000 for this season's community partners.
